New to Shaw’s? Here’s all you need to know to start shopping for FREE at Shaw’s!

MyMixx Account

Before we even get started you want to make sure that you have a MyMixx account. Shaw’s no longer offers a Loyalty Card. The nice thing about that is that you don’t need to scan a card at the register to get the sale prices. Everyone automatically get them! The benefit of having a MyMixx account is that you get EXTRA savings through digital coupons. You can sign upHERE. Simply enter your phone number on the pin pad at the register at check out and you will be able to access your “clipped” offers.

Before you go shopping sign into your MyMixx Account online or through the MyMixx App. “Clip” the coupons that you would like to use and you are on your way. Please note that you can not combine a MyMixx Coupon and a paper Manufacturers Coupon. The MyMixx Coupon takes priority over the paper coupon so if you’d prefer to use the paper coupon don’t “clip” the MyMixx Coupon. When you enter your phone number at checkout, your “clipped” coupons will automatically be deducted as long as you purchased the required items.

The more you save, the more personal the offers become, saving you even more time and money. Oh, and make sure you sign up for Digital Receipts so you can receive even more Savings.

Before I start shopping, are there any other ways I can save at Shaw’s?

This is by far my favorite tip for shopping FREE at Shaw’s! When you go into the store, be on the lookout for “Manager’s Specials” coupons. These coupons are typically found on meat items. When the meat is getting close to the sell-by date, Shaw’s puts a coupon on the item for quick sale. These coupons CAN be combined with a Manufacturers Coupon. My favorite way to work the meat markdowns is to combine a B1G1 FREE sale with Manager’s Special Coupons (and in the perfect storm of couponing there will be a Manufacturers Coupon as well!). Although Shaw’s does not allow you to use a manufacturers coupon on a FREE item, you are able to use the Manager’s Special Coupons on the free item. Let me give you an example:

Perdue Short Cuts are on sale B1G1 FREE (reg price $5.99)

Each has a $2.00 Manager’s Special Coupon and you have a .75/1 Manufacturers Coupon (you can still only use 1 Manufacturers Coupon on a B1G1 Free Sale)

This is how the deal looks:

(2) Perdue Short Cuts @$5.99 = $11.98

• $5.99 for the sale
• (2) $2.00 Manager’s Specials Coupons
• (1) .75/1 Perdue Short Cuts Manufacturers Coupon (will double)

= .49 total for both packages!

Gas Rewards

How can I start earning Gas Rewards Points?
You must have aMyMixx Account. You do not need to register for the Gas Rewards Program. You are automatically enrolled if you have a MyMixx Account.Use your registered phone number at checkout to earn Gas Rewards Points.

How are Gas Reward Points earned?
It’s easy to earn Gas Reward Points just by shopping at Shaw’swith your registered phone number at checkout:

• Every $1 spent on eligible groceries = 1 point
• Every $1 spent on select gift cards = 2 points
• Every $1 spent on qualifying pharmacy items = 1 point

Which Gift Card purchases earn points?
Almost all Gift Card purchases made with your account earns 2 points per $1 spent. Excluded are Shaw’s and other Albertsons Companies Gift Cards, Chevron, Texaco, Shell, American Express®, MasterCard®, Visa®, NetSpend®, PayPower™, Green Dot®, Green Dot® Reload and Reloadit, Univision Mastercard® Prepaid Card and T-Mobile® Prepaid Debit Card.

Which pharmacy purchases earn points?
Every $1 spent on select pharmacy items with your account earns 1 point if you use your registered phone number at checkout. This includes your out-of-pocket costs for new, transferred and refilled prescriptions.

How do Gas Reward Points save money at the pump?
Every 100 points get you a 10¢ per gallon Gas Reward for a single fill-up at participating stations. You can use your points in increments of 100 for a single fill-up up of up to 25 gallons at participating stations.

• 100 points = 10¢ per gallon Gas Reward
• 200 points = 20¢ per gallon Gas Reward
• 1000 points = $1 per gallon Gas Reward* (selected areas only)

Can I use my Gas Reward Points immediately?
Your Gas Reward Points are available for use at participating stations approximately 4 hours after earning them

Do my Gas Rewards expire?
Yes, Gas Rewards expire at the end of the month following the one in which they were earned. For example, Gas Rewards earned in January can be used through the end of February and would expire at 2AM Mountain Time on March 1st. Points earn Gas Rewards in increments of 100 (100 points = 10¢ per gallon Gas Reward). At the end of each month, any points less than 100 expire.

How do I keep track of my points and rewards?
You can track your Gas Rewards points and Rewards online or on the store app.

Are there limits to how many points can be earned?
No, you can earn an unlimited number of points during each month and your Gas Rewards can be used through the end of the following month. Each month is a separate earning period; previous and current months’ points do not combine.

Are there limits to how many points can be used?
Yes, there is a limit of 1000 points ($1.00 off) for a single fill-up (100 Rewards for 10¢ per gallon each). Limit of 1 vehicle per transaction. Limit of 25 Gallons per transaction.

How do I know which stations are participating in the program?
Participating stations will have signs letting you know that the Gas Rewards Program is available. For a complete list of participating stations, visit HERE.

Shaw’s Coupon Policy

Every store has their own coupon acceptance policies so it is best to print a copy and keep it with you for reference. Here is the most current Shaw’s Coupon Policy

Here are some of the highlights (as of July 2016)

COUPON ACCEPTANCE POLICY

One valid manufacturer’s coupon (My Mixx digital or paper) may be accepted per item if legally permitted.

• MA: Coupons may not be accepted for non-flavored/white milk.
• MA: Coupons may not be accepted for cigarette or tobacco products.
• ME: Coupons may not be accepted for milk.
• MA, ME, NH, RI & VT: Other legal restrictions may apply.

Coupons displayed on a mobile device are not accepted.

My Mixx Digital Coupons:

• Take priority over a paper manufacturer coupon for the same item.
• My Mixx coupons will not double.
• Must be electronically “clipped” and added to your My Mixx account.
• Must be redeemed at time of purchase when your My Mixx number is entered at the pinpad or when your My Mixx number is entered by the cashier.
• May not be redeemed beyond the expiration date.
• Each My Mixx coupon may only be redeemed once.

Doubling of Paper Manufacturer Coupons:

• Shaw’s doubles valid paper manufacturers’ coupons that have a face value up to 99¢. Coupons with a face value over 99¢ are redeemed at face value only.
• Coupons that state “do not double” or “free” may not be doubled.
• No more than FOUR “like” (same UPC) paper coupons will be doubled per customer, per day. Any additional coupon(s) may be accepted at face value (not doubled) based upon product availability.

“Store” coupons may not be doubled.

Other Retailer coupons are not accepted with the exception of valid Catalina manufacturer coupons for specific item(s) that Shaw’s carries and ‘manufacturer’ must be stated on the coupon. Other Retailer Catalina store coupons are not accepted.

We do not accept manufacturer coupons with another retailer’s name or retail logo printed on the coupon.

Any combined discounts, including coupons, may not exceed the value of the transaction.

Coupon must have a valid barcode (UPC must be scanned or manually entered) and a valid date to be accepted.

One store coupon and one valid manufacturer coupon may be applied to an item.

You may use one valid manufacturer coupon per BOGO free offer.

Transactions may not be separated for the purpose of circumventing coupon policies.

Shaw’s reserves the right to limit quantities of product sold.

Photocopied, altered and/or fraudulent coupons will not be accepted.

Manufacturer Internet Coupons (excluding My Mixx) follow the same stated mfg coupon policies along with the following restrictions: Must be printed from a computer printer (no copies); Mfg internet coupons for a free product are not accepted. All mfg internet coupons valued at $5 or more, including BOGO internet coupons valued at $5 or more, may be accepted based upon managerial review and approval.

Shaw’s/Star Internet Coupons (excluding My Mixx) are accepted with some restrictions. The coupons must state “Shaw’s” and be printed from a computer printer (no copies). Unless otherwise stated, limit ONE coupon of each type per customer per day. A Shaw’s Internet coupon will not exceed $10.
